Meet the Chefs Behind the Experience

We’re Lisa and Patrick Balcom — chefs, partners, and the founders of Farow at Home. Together, we bring over 25 years of fine dining experience to intimate, in-home tables across Lexington and the Kentucky Bluegrass.

Before Farow at Home, we led Farow, our acclaimed farm-to-table restaurant known for scratch cooking, seasonal menus, and a deep commitment to local farms and ranches. That same philosophy now shapes every private dinner we create.

Patrick brings soulful technique, deep savory flavor, and whole-animal butchery expertise to each course.

Lisa brings balance, artistry, and warm, attentive hospitality shaped by years in pastry and fine dining service.

We believe a meal should be felt as much as it is tasted. Our goal is simple: to help you and your guests connect — through food, story, and season — around a table that feels both elevated and deeply personal.

Because our menus change with the harvest, we do not offer pre-set menus more than a month in advance. This approach supports a more sustainable food system, reduces waste, and results in meals that are not only more flavorful—but more meaningful. We also only offer services to small intimate groups. We do not work with more than 15-20 people per event.

Rather than working from fixed menus, each dinner is designed around the very moment of the season and your gathering. Each dinner evolves with the season. We also limit our gatherings to intimate groups of 2–20 guests, ensuring every course feels personal, thoughtful, and beautifully executed.
